Visual Studio 2019 Compilation can’t be completed because some library classes are missing

After installing Visual Studio 2019 version 16.5.1 update i couldn’t build android applications. I was able to build after unchecking “Enable Multi-Dex” in project properties -> anroid options as shown below:
